I am sorrry for not updating this blog because of school.

Here’s the latest news:

-Hey Pet Society fans! Stickers have been flying around the village between friends this week. So when Sirius visited the Mystery Store earlier, she decided to try and find out what “?” thought of all the fuss. Surprisingly, when she asked him if he’d received any stickers from friends, he shook his head. She then tried to ask him to be her friend, so that she could send him a sticker, but he declined, obviously not wanting Sirius (or anyone for that matter) to discover his true identity!

As that conversation was obviously going nowhere, Sirius started to enquire about the next release of mysterious items! As normal, he wasn’t saying too much, but he did mutter a couple of words about each:

• Common condiment! (Blue Mystery Box)
• Full volume! (Golden Mystery Box)
• Rock art! (Golden Mystery Box)

Pet Society Fishing Ground!

Alright! Here are the fishes found so far! I spent the longest time trying to catch a sardine, which is odd since its supposed to be relatively common? o.O Fish stuff are categorized in Furniture > Garden for the time being until Angelo comes back to add a new one. =D

Hey Pet Society fans! Sign on to Pet Society via Facebook now to take a trip back in time with your pet this week and explore the medieval era! Preston has some fantastic decorations for your castle in the Furniture Store, to ensure all visitors know that a great pet lives there! Pet Society Garden Competition Announced!

Thank you to everyone who entered the recent Pet Society Garden Competition, there were many truly outstanding entries which blew us away! Before we get to the winners though, here are just a few of the other amazing pieces that you presented:

With such tremendous talent out there, it was very difficult to pick just a top few, but here they are!

In third place is Hasan, who took a fantastic photo of a local park in Abu Dhabi and recreated it in great detail in his Pet Society garden! Hasan wins 25,000 Pet Society Coins on Facebook for his remarkable efforts. The shelf work on the shelter is second to none. With two perfectly placed trees and similar pink flowers, Hasan really deserves this place in the top 3!

In second place is Grethe, who has won 50,000 Pet Society Coins on Facebook for this lovely photo of her back yard and almost identical Pet Society garden! The Elegant Swing Seat was a brilliant match for her garden arch and garden seat . The Tiki Fence represented her wooden fence well. But the attention to detail in the location of the greenery and Ceramic Pots was what was really set this entry apart. Well done Grethe!

Shinken is our first prize winner, and has won a massive 100,000 Pet Society Coins to spend on Facebook! He took this photo in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and achieved a striking resemblance with the gazebo in the Botanic Gardens portayed by the Classis White Dome in his Pet Society garden, plenty of trees and greenery (whoever knew broccoli was so versatile), and even a perfectly placed bench!

Pet Society Birthday Competition!

Do you remember when there wasn’t a Stadium in Pet Society? When the Café was just a construction site? Newer players may find it hard to believe, but at one point there were no Mystery Boxes, let alone a whole Mystery Store! How about this: can you remember when there wasn’t a Pet Society?

It’s hard to believe we know, but a little under a year ago, there wasn’t! That’s right, on the 8th of August, 2009, we celebrate the first birthday of Pet Society!

To celebrate, we thought we’d make some lucky pets rich beyond their wildest dreams. You may have thought that the 100 thousand coins for the Garden Competition seemed like a pretty awesome amount of coins, but how about a million? Sounds good doesn’t it? So we’re going to make someone a Pet Society millionaire!

How do you get in with a chance of winning? All you have to do is post a piece of art or fiction titled “If I had a million coins…” to forum.playfish.com. It could be a short story, a drawing, a video, a photograph, a comic strip… or any other inventive way to show us just what you’d do with all those Pet Society coins.

Pieces will be judged in 9 different categories, the categories are: most creative, most fun, most humorous, most original, best use of technology, most resourceful, best use of cheese, most impressive and most cute. Winners in each of the categories will receive 100 thousand coins, and one lucky winner who excels in some or all of the judged categories will be awarded with one million coins! Plus, all winning entries will be propelled to instant stardom on www.petsociety.com for everyone to admire!

Entries will be open until August 3rd and the winners will be announced shortly after, so you’ve got plenty of time to let your imagination run wild and design your entry!

Art Invade Mystery Boxes

Hey Pet Society fans! “?” has just hidden his newest batch of mysterious items, and this week, it’s all about art! So to bring out your pet’s inner artist, and imagine him or her painting fabulous masterpieces, sign onto Pet Society now via Facebook and start searching Blue and Golden Mystery Boxes!

There’s more going on with “?”, and more importantly the Mystery Boxes, Mystery Eggs and Magic Foods you buy from him, that you should know about though. Now, when you reveal the item inside a Mystery Box or Mystery Egg, or the effect of a Magic Food, you will see a new blue button to ‘Tell your friends!’ what you discovered! If you select that, you will be asked whether you would like to publish the story to your Facebook wall and home page (to do so simply click ‘Publish’). So whether you want to delight in your success at finding some new art equipment in the Blue and Golden Mystery Boxes, or just celebrate that Pink Donut your hungry pet received when opening Red Mystery Boxes, or anything in between, be sure to tell your friends about it!
